Install Sabt on Android

Your phone will ask you twice: once to let this browser install an app, and once to install Sabt. Both are normal for an app that does not come from Google Play yet.

If your phone refuses

Android says very little when it turns an app down — usually one line with the word package in it. There are only a few reasons, and the line tells you which:

“There was a problem parsing the package”

You downloaded the .aab file from the store kit page. That one is for uploading to Google Play — no phone can open it. Use the button above instead.

“Package conflicts with an existing package”, or “the package appears to be invalid”

An older Sabt is already on the phone from a test build, and it was signed with a different key. Android will not replace one signature with another, so the only way through is to remove the old one first.

If you have nothing in the app yet, just uninstall and install.

“Blocked by Play Protect”, or “unsafe app”

Google shows this for any app it has not seen on Play. Tap More details and then Install anyway. The file you are installing is signed by us; the fingerprint is below if you want to check it.

“App not installed” with no reason at all

Nearly always space, or a download that stopped halfway. Free up a little room and download again — the download picks up where it left off rather than starting over.

On an iPhone

There is no App Store build yet. Open sabt.respiresoft.com/till in Safari, then Share → Add to Home Screen. It behaves like the app, offline included.

What you are installing

Updates arrive inside the app — it refreshes itself. You will not need to come back here for every version.
